Four Years-Old

As last year, we had Gabriella's birthday party at her Grammy and Papa's house (Travis's parents). It was a Disney princess theme and the kids had a good time. We had a barbecue and my parents were there, plus her aunt and uncles (Toby, Debbie, Tahnee, and Geoff). My BFF Beth and her husband, Josh were there- along with their daughter, Harper.

While we were on our trip, we decided to finally get Gabby's hair-cut. It was quite uneventful because she didn't get much taken off but still a cool milestone to blog about.

As with every summer, it is not complete until we go to Bend, OR and do some tax free shopping. This year, we stayed with our good friends, Tom and Tami, and all the girls had a blast together. They're moving to Xiamen, China next year so we look forward to visiting them again soon!

Oh geez, the time does fly by- doesn't it? Isabelle is grasping at objects, getting stronger, and survived yet another across the world flight...

Moving

I need to rant... Have I ever said how much I hate moving? Well I do. I just came back from our little townhouse that we're moving into and there's sawdust EVERYWHERE. They also didn't fix a ton of things that needed to get done AND they used different wood laminent flooring on the upstairs. I'm a bit bummed by that because I'm really particular with all the wood floors (even if they're fake) matching... Good thing this is not my dream house. We're literally having the movers put our stuff in the house and then leaving to spend the night at our friend's house. The next morning we leave at 6 am for the airport to head back to Seattle. Not to mention, Isabelle has a runny nose and I think she may be sick. Hopefully Chen can get us organized over the summer... I am SO looking forward to a vacation.

Gabby's EC-3 Class Picture

It was SUPER hot outside for the end-of-the-year family picnic for Gabby's class-mates... Here is a shot of us with our kiddos... Next year, Gabriella will be in Pre-Kindergarten 4. They changed the title from Early-Childhood 4 to show that kids are going to school and learning- not just attending a daycare.

Miss Gabriella has a summer birthday (June 28th) so we celebrated her birthday a little earlier in her classroom. She'll have a bigger party when we're in Washington this summer, but eventually she'll choose where she wants her big party (China or the States). It would be crazy to have two big parties every year! The class sang "Happy Birthday" in English and Chinese and ate yummy gluten free cupcakes with M&Ms on top. We passed-out coloring/sticker books to all her classmates and Gabby got to wear the "Happy Birthday" crown, which she was quite proud of.

Gabriella's Abstract Art

Gabby's class has been experimenting with abstract art... They displayed the pieces outside the classroom. I think hers turned-out pretty cool.
