Kung Fu
As you can see, Gabby is wearing some pants that don't quite match... Unfortunately, she pooped her pants that day at school. I asked her why she didn't tell her teacher and she said, "I forgot." Oh well, it's bound to happen someday.

Gabby Loves Gym'N'ees
Gym'N'ees is a gymnastics class that Gabby and her friends attend every Sunday. One of the middle school P.E. teachers sets it up and the kids have a blast jumping on trampolines, balancing on the high beam, and swinging on the parallel bar. The parents like the socializing aspect while we sip on our Starbucks... This week marked her tenth time attending, so she and many others, received a certificate. She's does a great job and is pretty coordinated for being 2 1/2.

The Terrible Twos
Temper tanrums so crazy they make you laugh? The kind where a kid flaps his arms and stamps their feet? Whining about everything, especially when they don't get their way? Not wanting to share their toys, throwing their food, and dumping water out of the bath tub.... Awwww yes, the terrible twos are in full effect. I thought, for some lame reason, that I wouldn't have to deal with that because Gabby is so wonderful and perfect. Uh hem, no. She has turned into demon child. And if a kid doesn't share their toy with her, she really makes a fuss. My once level-head angel freaks out when we leave places where she's having fun and WHINES... oh the whining! Travis tells her that he doesn't understand "whinese" when she does that.
On the other hand...
She told me last night that she wanted to snuggle with me and that she loves me "sooooooo much." She puts her arm around me and squeezes tight and doesn't want to let go. This morning she took off her PJs and wanted me to rub her back. She also likes to curl-up next to me or Travis when we watch a movie or something. She told Travis today that she didn't want to go upstairs because she wanted to snuggle with him in bed. She can be SO sweet at times that I just want to eat her up...
Bi-polar? No. Two years-old? Yes.

Happy Easter and 6th Year Anniversary!
It was a triple wammy of a Sunday... It was Easter, our 6th year Anniversary, and we had Monday off because of "Tombsweeping Day." It's a Chinese National holiday where you mourn past relatives and burn stuff. I'm not sure what they burn and why but there were some people on the side of the road having little campfires.
Gabby attended two Easter parties, so I think she got her full of egg-hunting this year. The Easter bunny also came and hid the basket in her play room. It was fun! All week she was saying that the Easter bunny was coming and he was going to bring her a treat. He bought Gabby her first bottle of nail polish!
On Easter Sunday, a huge group of us went to the Westin Champagne brunch. It was AWESOME! The food is amazing and there is a martini and vodka bar, free flowing champagne, chocolate fondue fountain, and tons of other yummy food. As always, we had a blast.
Our dear friends (George, Claire, and their kids Ruby and Freddie) from Malaysia are visiting (they used to live here). Chen , our ayi, used to take care of their kids, so it's so nice for Chen to be able to stay in contact with them and see how the kids have grown.
